About
David, a young shepherd and musician, is anointed as future king, soothes King Saul with his lyre and faces the Philistine giant Goliath.
David, voiced by Brandon Engman, is a young shepherd and musician in Bethlehem in 1000 BC who looks after his father Jesse's sheep; Hector voices Jesse. After he defends the flock from a lion, the prophet Samuel, voiced by Brian Stivale, anoints him as Israel's future king. Palace guards then bring David to Gibeah, where he plays the lyre for King Saul and eases the troubled ruler with a song. When the Philistine army under King Achish reaches the Valley of Elah, their champion Goliath, a giant, challenges Saul, his son Jonathan and the Israelites to send out a fighter.
