About
Robert Talbot arrives early at his Italian villa, where his lover has cancelled her wedding and his majordomo runs a hotel for college girls.
Wealthy American businessman Robert L. Talbot (Rock Hudson) owns a villa on the Ligurian coast, where he has spent one month each September with his Italian lover, Lisa Fellini (Gina Lollobrigida). This year he arrives early, in July, and calls Lisa from Milan. Lisa is in Rome, trying on a wedding dress and preparing to marry the Englishman Spencer (Ronald Howard), but when she hears Robert she cancels the wedding and agrees to meet him at the villa.
Robert's majordomo, Maurice Clavell (Walter Slezak), has used his employer's long absences to turn the villa into a luxury hotel. It is currently hosting a group of college girls, among them Sandy Stevens (Sandra Dee), and their chaperone Margaret Allison (Brenda De Banzie).
