About
A Hollywood diva is kidnapped in Baltimore by an underground director and his outlaw filmmakers, who force her to star in their film.
John Waters' black comedy Cecil B. Demented follows Honey Whitlock (Melanie Griffith), a Hollywood A-list actress who presents herself in public as sweet and considerate but is actually a profane, unreasonable and demanding diva. She is in Baltimore to attend the premiere of her latest film. During the gala, she is kidnapped by Cecil B. Demented (Stephen Dorff), a manic underground director, and his band of outlaw filmmakers, the Sprocket Holes. The group has infiltrated the theater staff and seizes Honey as she finishes her speech on stage. They take her to an abandoned movie theater, where they have built a secret film set, the Sprocket House, and force her to star in Cecil's underground film. His gang includes Cherish (Alicia Witt), Lyle (Adrian Grenier), Raven (Maggie Gyllenhaal) and Petie (Michael Shannon).
