About
In late-1990s Vancouver Island, an eight-year-old girl’s Hungarian immigrant family faces her oldest brother’s increasingly dangerous behavior.
Blue Heron follows an eight-year-old girl, Sasha (Eylul Guven), whose Hungarian immigrant family moves to Vancouver Island in the late 1990s. The household consists of two parents, played by Ádám Tompa and Iringó Réti, and four children. Sasha's oldest brother, Jeremy (Edik Beddoes), shows increasingly dangerous behavior in their new surroundings: he is often closed off, disappears for long periods, bullies the other children and has bursts of rage, while also drawing maps with exceptional skill. Liam Serg and Preston Drabble play Sasha's brothers Henry and Felix. The family struggles to understand Jeremy as they settle into their new life.
