About
A filmmaker's father talks about his childhood books on a last walk along the Loire; later something is found in his housing estate.
Gaël Lépingle's documentary centres on a man and his surroundings: the father in a housing estate. During a last walk along the Loire, the father tells his son, a filmmaker, about the books of his youth. He tells of Gilgamesh, a tyrant who finds a best friend in his enemy Endiku. After the father's death, something is found in the housing estate. It is not a secret, the film says, but the reverse side of ordinary days, documented in minute detail: an everyday negotiation with material life and with time. The cast list names Serge Renko and Philippe Girard.
