About
In late-1960s Tirol, a farmer's son expected to take over the farm falls into crisis and is sent to an alpine pasture.
Tirol at the end of the 1960s: Elias, played by Jakob Mader as a young man and by Johannes Krisch, is the son of the richest farmer in the Zillertal. He is a good pupil, and the plan is that he will soon take over the family farm. The expectations placed on him are high, and Elias tries to fill the role intended for him. He is caught bathing naked in a lake with his youthful love Moid (Verena Altenberger), and his mother (Gerti Drassl) in particular rejects the relationship with the older woman. Elias then suffers a depression that keeps him in bed for weeks. His father (Harald Windisch) sends him to the Märzengrund alpine area to recover and to look after it over the summer.
