About
A stranger in San Miguel plays two feuding smuggling families against each other for money.
A stranger rides into the small town of San Miguel, where two smuggling families are fighting for control. On one side are the Anglo-American Baxters, led by sheriff John Baxter (Wolfgang Lukschy); on the other are the Mexican Rojos, led by the brutal Ramón Rojo (Gian Maria Volonté), with his brother Esteban (Sieghardt Rupp). Clint Eastwood plays the stranger, Joe. At the local inn, Silvanito (José Calvo) tells him about the feud. Joe sees a chance to profit from the conflict and decides to play the two families against each other, passing false information to both sides for money.
