A Ballerina's Tale is a documentary about Misty Copeland, who narrates the film and is also its subject. Copeland dances with American Ballet Theatre, where she is one of the first African-American female soloists.
The film follows her daily life and her professional rise, opening with archival footage of Copeland as a young girl in a small ballet studio.
