About
When his son has an accident, Mustafa is blocked at a checkpoint and seeks another way across the wall.
Mustafa (Ali Suliman) and his wife Salwa (Lana Zreik) live in two Palestinian villages that lie 200 metres apart but are divided by a wall. The separation puts pressure on their marriage, though they try to keep it working. Each evening Mustafa stands on his balcony and signals with a light to his children on the other side; they signal back. Then a phone call tells him his son has been in an accident. At the checkpoint he waits in line, but a problem with his fingerprints means he is refused entry. Mustafa hires a smuggler, and the short distance to his son turns into a journey of around 200 kilometres with other travellers who also need to cross.
