About
A German-Austrian documentary about the severe wildfires that broke out in Los Angeles County in January 2025 and their disastrous consequences.
In January 2025, severe wildfires broke out in Los Angeles County. The consequences were disastrous. The documentary approaches the fires in three acts. In long, static shots, the film shows the fire spreading across the area and the disaster unfolding. During that winter month, more than 230 square kilometres were lost and more than 16,000 buildings were destroyed. The spread of the fire is shown as deceptively serene. Lukas Marxt directs this German-Austrian documentary about the fires. It runs 73 minutes.
