The day opens with a short documentary about happiness in Bhutan by a Bhutanese filmmaker; the title will be announced later.
Annabel Laura is a performer, voice coach, yoga teacher, and meditation guide from Eindhoven.
She opens the day with guided meditation and sound before philosopher Merijn Ruis talks about happiness, mental health, and meaning, and asks what happiness means to you here and now.
The evening’s musical heart is Yangthi, a new project with Tilburg guitarist and composer Bram Stadhouders, Bhutanese singer Sonam Dorji, and percussionist Joost Lijbaart.
Yangthi brings traditional Buddhist melodies from Bhutan together with ambient, improvisation, and electronics.
