SIIGA began with songwriter Richard Macintyre; with Iain Hutchison came Gemini Rising, and live the band is a five-piece.
The new album Nostalgia Burns mixes analogue nostalgia with a more digital future, using vintage guitars, classic synths and dreamy sounds.
Its visual world centres on a retrofuturistic robot made with Los Angeles costume designer Sarah Jeanne Mgeni (The Boys, Doom Patrol), and everything is real and handmade.
After sold-out shows at Celtic Connections in Glasgow and headline shows in Scotland, SIIGA tours the UK and Europe in May 2027.
