About
The Guillermo Celano Quartet ft. Alistair Payne plays contemporary jazz at BIMHUIS Amsterdam on Thursday 4 February 2027, from 20:30 to 22:00.
What to expect
Guitarist and composer Guillermo Celano combines contemporary jazz, counterpoint and free improvisation with subtle influences from Argentine music.
His quartet plays mostly original compositions, and pianist Chaerin Im, double bassist Bjørk Semey and drummer Marcos Baggiani each play an equal part in the quartet’s adventurous, contemporary music.
For this concert, trumpeter Alistair Payne joins the group; he was also the recording engineer on the quartet’s album, so he knows the music from the inside.
- Guillermo Celano – guitar
- Chaerin Im – piano
- Bjørk Semey – double bass
- Marcos Baggiani – drums
- Alistair Payne – trumpet
