What to expect
This bilingual workshop is taught in a mix of Dutch and English for kids ages 8-12.
- Design, build, and code robots and prototypes
- Use LEGO Mindstorms and art supplies
- Try visual programming and coding basics
- Learn algorithms, loops, and if-else logic
- Study design concepts like testing and iteration
- Discuss inspiring examples of technology
- Work in pairs on a class challenge
- Present prototypes to the group
- No previous robotics or coding experience needed
- Girls and boys are welcome
- Native Dutch-speaking teacher with specialised computer science training
- NewTechKids pedagogy: concept-context and tangible tools
- Minimum 16 students required
- If cancelled: 3 days' notice; full refund

What will kids do?
Kids design, build, and code robots and tech prototypes.
They use LEGO Mindstorms and art supplies.
They learn design concepts such as resources, requirements, testing, iteration, and best practices.
They learn computer science concepts such as coding, algorithms, commands, loops, sequence, iteration, and if-else logic.
They discuss inspiring technology examples, complete a class challenge in pairs, and present their prototypes.
How do I register and what if it is cancelled?
