What to expect
The Metropole Orkest returns with a new family concert featuring Dutch-Cape Verdean singer, rapper and producer Joël Domingos.
The evening brings together the orchestra's repertoire, built over 80 years, and Joël's danceable sound.
Some of Joël's songs are rearranged for the orchestra, and the orchestra also draws on its own rich collection of colours, atmospheres and surprises.
Joël Domingos (1995) grew up in a warm, multicultural family where Cape Verdean dance parties, Cesaria Evora and lyrics by Billy Joel and Simon & Garfunkel were part of daily life.
His tracks Beetje Vrijheid and Stick To Your Ways reached the Viral Top 50.
Press and established artists see him as one of the biggest Dutch pop promises.
