Outdoor Day!

Outdoor Day! runs Sunday, 1 November 2026.

Outdoor Day! takes place at Schoorlse Duinen, Oorsprongweg 1, Schoorl.

Tickets for Outdoor Day! cost €6 on the official ticket shop.

Buitendag! (Outdoor Day!) is a recurring outdoor day for children and their (grand)parents. It includes a short walk with a Schoorlse Duinengids, a creative part, and something to craft. You use all your senses, discover nature with heart, head and hands, and share a love of nature with your (grand)children.

20 September: Kunst en Natuur. Artists find inspiration in nature; you look differently, make art from natural materials, make a treasure chest, and discover colours in nature.

18 & 22 October: Paddenstoelen. With a guide, learn how mushrooms grow, recognize them, and see differences. Look at the landscape in a magical way, find a small nature gift for the elves and gnomes in Schoorl, and make an autumn viewing box with natural materials you find outside.

1 November & 20 December: Lichtjes in de duinen. Winter is coming; it gets light later and dark earlier. The winter seems quiet, dark and dead, but there is much to see. It is the growth season for mosses and lichens, which give the dunes a beautiful green colour. See them under a loupe, craft a light or nature craft, and end with popping corn over the fire.
