Kooracademie Breda - Christmas Concert

What to expect

After earlier boys choirs, the boys and girls of Kooracademie Breda sing famous carols and traditional Christmas classics such as ‘Stille Nacht’ and ‘Hark! The herald angels sing’ in the candlelit Grote Kerk.

The choir has performed at St Paul’s Cathedral and Westminster Abbey in London, Windsor Castle, Sint-Pieter in Rome and Notre-Dame in Paris, and works with college choirs from Cambridge. It builds on the boys' and men's choir tradition and the English cathedral tradition, and often uses the Choral Evensong form.

• Boys and girls sing with adult male voices.
• Red and white clothing; singing along is allowed.
• Kooracademie Breda celebrates 100 years.
• Religious and secular choral music.
• From classical masterpieces to contemporary compositions.
