About

The play Terror at Studiobühne II in Krefeld on 10 November 2026 asks whether a pilot's decision to shoot down a hijacked plane was justified. The audience votes on guilt or acquittal.

What to expect

Terror is described as one of the most discussed contemporary dramas. A fighter pilot shoots down a hijacked passenger plane to stop an attack on a sold-out Munich football stadium with 70,000 people.

All 164 people on board die, and the play asks whether his decision was justified or multiple murder. Von Schirach turns the courtroom into a philosophical experiment, and the audience votes on guilt or acquittal at the end.

  • Von Schirach's books are bestsellers and film adaptations
  • Audience acts as jury and votes
  • Limits of legal and moral responsibility
  • Weighs life and individual dignity
  • Runs 10:30–11:55
