Where to buy MOJO tickets and how to order
Tickets for MOJO concerts, events and festivals are sold only through Ticketmaster, its official ticketing partner; you can also order by phone, or at the venue's box office on the night.
For the general sale, create or update your Ticketmaster account beforehand and log in before ordering. When a popular show goes on sale, everyone waits in a digital waiting room and gets a random place in the queue: joining the page long before the start does not help, and refreshing can cost you your place. For most concerts you can order up to 8 tickets per person. You pay with iDEAL or a credit card, and after paying e-tickets can take up to 24 hours to arrive.
You can also order by phone, or buy at the venue's box office on the night if the show is not sold out. From abroad, order through Ticketmaster or MOJO's international call centre. MOJO's own site is in Dutch only; Live Nation's site lists its larger concerts.

How to get MOJO presale access
The MOJO presale gives subscribers of the free MOJO Weekly newsletter earlier access to tickets for popular shows; sign up on mojo.nl or on the page of the show.
The presale works per show. A show page that has one shows a sign-up form headed "Meld je aan voor de MOJO presale", with the days it runs and a sign-up deadline. Subscribers to MOJO Weekly receive the mailing that gives access, so if you already subscribe you do not need to sign up again. A presale has a limited number of tickets and ticket dealers are excluded. Under 16, ask a parent or guardian first.
Subscribe to MOJO Weekly on mojo.nl for weekly news of all the big shows: subscribers are the first to know when a concert goes on sale and can join exclusive presales. You can also choose genre mailings: Comedy, Electronic, Heavy, Indie/Alternative, Jazz, Roots, Urban and K-Pop.

Cancelled shows, refunds and reselling MOJO tickets
MOJO does not refund tickets when you change your mind; only a cancelled or moved concert gets your money back, and you can resell tickets through Ticketmaster.
When a concert is cancelled or moved to another date, you get your money back: that is the only case in which MOJO refunds, and it is part of the sales policy you agree to when ordering. Tickets bought through Ticketmaster can be resold to other fans from your Ticketmaster account.
Only tickets bought through Ticketmaster guarantee entry. MOJO fights trade in false and invalid tickets through unofficial ticket offices and trading places; if you are refused at the door with an invalid ticket, ask the seller of that ticket for compensation and, if you are not compensated, report it to the police. mojo.nl's ordering page refers to weetwaarjekoopt.nl for where buying is safe.

What to expect at a MOJO concert
Most MOJO concerts have no minimum age, the doors open 1 to 1.5 hours before the start and stay open all evening, and the show is usually over by 23.00.
MOJO advises an age of 16, and under 16 to come with an adult; for fans under 12 it advises ordering seats because of the crowding on the floor. An event page states a minimum age when one applies. Everyone needs a valid ticket, and a valid ID: MOJO's house rules apply an identification requirement at its events.
The doors usually open 1 to 1.5 hours before the concert and stay open all evening, so you can also enter later. The start time on the ticket and the event page is the support act's, when there is one; the main act starts about one to one and a half hours later. MOJO aims to post the running order about a week before the show and emails it to ticket buyers, and advises counting on an end time of 23.00.
Large bags and backpacks are not allowed: only bags up to A4 size and 10 cm thick, or one-compartment linen bags, may come in. Compact digital cameras with a fixed lens and camera phones are allowed unless communicated otherwise; professional photo, film and other recording equipment is not. Smoking, electronic cigarettes included, is only allowed in the open air. On the day of the event you can queue from 12.00, and MOJO advises hearing protection against hearing damage.

Who owns MOJO, and where it began
MOJO belongs to Live Nation. Berry Visser founded it in 1968 in Delft, and in 1969 he put Jethro Tull and Soft Machine on the stage of the Amsterdam Concertgebouw.
Berry Visser, a student in Delft who booked artists in his free time, saw Jefferson Airplane and The Doors in the Concertgebouw in 1968 and decided to organise pop concerts himself: in 1969 he booked Jethro Tull and Soft Machine for the same hall, and MOJO was born. The name comes from the Muddy Waters song "Got My Mojo Workin'".
Visser invented Holland Pop, the country's first multi-day rock festival, and MOJO organised the first stadium concert in De Kuip, with Eric Clapton and Bob Dylan. In the late eighties MOJO developed the MOJO barrier, which has made shows safer worldwide since.
MOJO was run from Delft for 55 years and has its head office in Amsterdam since the start of 2024. SFX bought it in 1999, SFX became part of Clear Channel Entertainment in 2001, and its concert division became independent as Live Nation in 2006.
